The Big Wide World

The Big Wide World is a stop motion animation, illustrated by the students of Néstor Forero Alcalá in Bogotá, Colombia. It is based on a poem written by Evan Sutter, directed and animated by me. This project aimed to introduce Colombian kids to new possibilities while learning English, collaborating and being creative.

On completion, The Big Wide World was screened to the school at an open day with the parents. The project received a lot of positive feedback and has led to the founding of The Kids of Bogota, a social program aiming to bring new opportunities to children in developing countries. We are currently discussing the possibility of publishing The Big Wide World as a book in order to raise funds for the program.
